International Night 2026: A World of Culture, Community, and Student Talent
International Night is always one of Murdock’s most special traditions, and this year’s celebration was no exception. Families filled the cafeteria to explore, taste, learn, and connect as our community came together for an evening of culture, curiosity, and student talent.
Thank you to our table hosts

Throughout the night, guests traveled from table to table experiencing traditions shared by our amazing host families and volunteers. Thank you to the countries represented this year: Belgium, Brazil, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Italy, Japan, Kiribati, Kenya, Laos, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea, and Switzerland. Each display brought something unique — from posters and artifacts to games, music, and food samples (the unofficial International Night love language).

A huge thank-you to the families and representatives who hosted cultural tables and shared pieces of what makes their traditions special. Your creativity and generosity brought the cafeteria to life—whether you shared art, music, food, books, videos, games or hands-on activities.
Applause for our student performers

While families explored booths in the cafeteria, the gym hosted a full lineup of performances. Our emcees, Eliza Vensel and Silas Wright, were so confident and entertaining we’re pretty sure we should’ve had them on a contract. Their energy helped keep the program moving and made the evening feel like a true celebration.
Gratitude for the behind-the-scenes heroes
This event only works because of volunteers—thank you to the International Night Committee for organizing, coordinating logistics, and supporting booths and performances throughout the night.
And thank you to every family who attended, learned something new and cheered our students on.
Looking ahead: help us grow International Night next year
We’d love to represent even more countries next year — and we’d also welcome regions of the United States to join the “world tour,” too. Displays can be as simple or interactive as you’d like, including art, music, food, books, videos, games, and more. If you’d like to claim a spot early for next year, reach out to the International Night committee.
Thank you, Murdock, for sharing your stories, celebrating one another, and making International Night one of the best nights of the year.
