During our April 2 general PTA meeting, we elected our 2025-2026 Murdock PTA Executive Board:

• VP Communications: Christine Holloway
• VP Events: Merrell McCain
• VP Family Engagement: Lacey Brackett
• VP Fundraising: Christine Burke

Welcome Frank, Lauren and Christine Burke, who are new to the PTA executive board!

As an update to other recent PTA business, the membership voted in favor of the following amendments: 

• Increasing dues to $10 to align with other East Cobb schools
• Lowering our quorum from 25 to 15 members to align with the rest of the district
• Budget amendments, including: 
  • Moving funds from corporate sponsorship to Grounds Beautification
  • Moving income generated from Exceptional Children's Committee fundraiser to help purchase classroom items
  • Add a budget line item for income and expenses for teacher's gifts
